The challenges of non-formal education
To take account of changes in society and to meet the Barcelona objectives, Luxembourg launched the maisons relais scheme in 2005. The field of non-formal education has taken off.
The aim of the project is to establish an overview of the current challenges facing SoTL structures, based on scientific studies and the expertise of players in research, politics and practice.
The work comprises three main stages, namely the analysis of scientific documents on the challenges facing non-formal education in Luxembourg, validation and updating by political, professional and scientific experts, and contextualisation through international research.
The objectives of the work include identifying gaps in knowledge and research needs in the field of non-formal education, recommendations for policy and professional practice and, more generally, strengthening the dialogue between science, policy and practice in the field of non-formal education.
The publication will include a brief description of the system, current challenges according to research and stakeholders, expressed during working groups.
