The state of child and family assistance, youth protection and juvenile criminal law
Systematic documentation and collection of quantitative and qualitative data on child and family assistance, child and youth protection, and juvenile criminal law, in order to establish a knowledge base of these children and young people, as well as of the respective care sectors, by analysing their specific missions and their systemic imbrications and interconnections.
The OEJQS aims to monitor
- the situation of children, adolescents and young adults in need of help and/or protection and/or (likely to be) criminally prosecuted;
- the institutional and procedural mechanisms in place to detect and assess their needs, as well as to guide and decide on the measures to be proposed to or imposed on them;
- the socio-educational, psycho-social and penal services available.
