Focus On – Analysis of the introduction of I-EBS (French)
The specialised teacher ‘I-EBS’ promotes, supports and accompanies pupils with special or specific support needs within primary schools and acts as an interface between parents, teachers and specialised services. This article analyses this teaching structure, which was created in 2017, and illustrates the challenges that politically initiated reforms face in their implementation in the pedagogical field. Aspects of distributive justice at school level are considered, as well as the general role of I-EBS as a measure to reduce the impact of social inequalities in the education system.
