36th ADMEE Conference in Luxembourg
From 8 to 10 January 2025, the Association for the Development of Evaluation Methodologies in Education in Europe (ADMEE-Europe) held its annual colloquium, entitled Paradoxes of Innovation in Evaluation in the 21st Century. This event, organised by the University of Luxembourg and supported by the OEJQS and SCRIPT, provided a platform for exploring the rapid transformations in education systems, in particular the impact of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and hybrid learning platforms on assessment practices.
Discussions focused on five main areas: technologies for assessment, innovations in assessment in higher education, approaches to career guidance and integration, reconciling quality and equity in the face of heterogeneous audiences, and the regulation of education and science systems.
As far as the OEJQS is concerned, in addition to its participation in the conference’s scientific committee, the team working on the theme of inclusive education, comprising Martine Frising (OEJQS), Anne-Marie Muller (OEJQS) and Émilie Jacobs (UCLouvain), presented the results of the evaluation of inclusive education projects in Luxembourg (2021-2023). Their presentation focused on quality and equity in relation to heterogeneous pupils, exploring how teachers’ profiles, their collaborative environment and their commitment to training influence the implementation of inclusive teaching practices, particularly differentiation.
The symposium provided an excellent opportunity to share our work, but also to enrich our thinking through inspiring exchanges with experts from the world of educational research.
